REDS instructors spent the weekend at the Carteret County Fire & Rescue School teaching Heavy Rescue to a packed class of 34 students. Techniques were discussed on Friday night and Saturday mornng, and the rest of the time was spent working through different scenarios involving different types of heavy vehicles
Reds Instructors David Pease, Luke Steele, Chuck Webb, and Jamie Smith worked with the class though evolutions in lifting, shoring, air bags, cutting tools, and hydraulic equipment. The training was capped with a complex incident involving a trash truck, a dump truck, a cab-over truck, and two cars. It took a lot to make this class happen. We would like to thank the following:
